Can't-Misses and Must-Reads...and man't-risses...

 Hello again. Today I'm gonna tell you guys about some books and serieses...serieseses...series'?...(I hope you know what I mean)...you can't miss and must read.

 First off I'll tell you about a book called Tuck Everlasting. This is an extremely sweet fantasy book I read and loved by Natalie Babbitt. It's about a young girl named Winnie and her odd experiences with the strange Tuck family. I honestly do not recommend the movie, in my opinion it is a completely different story and the book will touch you much more. It's really  can't-miss book and I think kids 10 and higher will enjoy this the most (;

 The Spiderwick Chronicles is a fantasy and adventure book by Tony DiTerlizzy and Holly Black about the adventures of the Grace children after moving into their great uncle, Arthur Spiderwick's estate. Here, they discover a world of faeries through a guide written by Arthur. There is a continuation of 3 books with different characters but I prefer the first ones. This is a series all kids 9 and up should read. I remember my brother me and some friends got obsessed with it at one point {: This is a must-read.

 The Mysterious Benedict Society is a series of books with more to come by Trenton Lee Stewart about four gifted children, Reynie, Sticky, Kate, and Constance, and their adventures. These are gripping books with amazing writing. Stewart's writing is so clever and exciting you don't want to put the book down. The grammar is sort of complex so I'd recommend this to ages 11 and up. This is a mix of can't-miss and must-read...its a man't-riss, or a... you get it.

 The Percy Jackson series is a fantasy adventure series about Greek mythology by Rick Riordan. When I read the first book, I was hooked. It's about a boy named Percy Jackson and his adventures at Camp Halfblood. I strongly encourage this book. It's a must-read. I'd say kids 9 and up should read this amazing series. Rick Riordan does have other books I have not read but you might wanna check those out too.

 And last but definitely not least, Tangerine by Edward Bloor. This is a, no question about it, must read. It's about a boy named Paul Fisher ,who just moved from Houston, and his family and experiences in Tangerine, Florida. This may seem boring, but this is one of the very best books I've ever read. It is so gripping and unlike any other book I've read. I recommend this to anyone 11 and older.

Thanks for reading! Until next time, have fun, inspire, and get inspired. Bye!

Shrinky Dinks

   Hello everyone! I hope you're having a wonderful December!
Today I'm going to tell you about something called a Shrinky Dink. They're a really fun to do craft and here's how you make them, (;
You must have a special piece of plastic you can get at a Michael's store or amazon.com, some colored pencils, and some scissors.
1. Take the piece of plastic, and draw on the rough side. Don't draw anything too small though.
2. Color in your drawing with colored pencils or crayons, no markers.
3. Plan on what you're going to make (earring? Necklace. Decoration?) and make adjustments ahead of time (hole punch?)
4. Cut out your drawing and try to avoid sharp edges (it will become a weapon.)
5. Place your piece of plastic the oven or microwave, with the drawing facing up, and put oven at 380° F.
6. Stand by and watch your your drawing become smaller, and crumple up, (it is not being ruined) and spread out again. Do not keep in longer than 2 minutes.
7. Drawing will have shrunken about 3 times and got much thicker. It will be pretty hot out of the oven. Place out and let it cool off then create what you've been waiting for.
 You can make a necklace, earrings, an ornament, or just a small decoration. These make excellent presents for family or friends and it's just a fun thing to do (;
  Hope you enjoyed! Thanks for reading!

Christmas Craft

  Hello everyone! As you know, it is now December and even though there is technically 23 days till the Holidays, I still say there is 25, so I've made a count-down out of post-it notes. Yes, post-it notes. And you know what? It doesn't even look HALF as bad as I thought it would!
You guys can use this for a nice little decoration and it doesn't even require that many supplies.
To make this all you need to do is get some sticky notes, (your choice of color), and put them into 5 rows of 5. Then you have yourself a count-down. Each day, take down a post-it until you reach the 25th day. You can stick it on any wall, really anywhere. (;

  I hope you guys enjoy and have happy holidays filled with memories. (;
See you later!

My Latest Fashion Sketches

   Hey everybody! Happy Thanksgiving!
I am back on fashion for the time being and I wanna show you a few of my newest sketches, (by newest i mean drawn about 20 minutes before writing this...)
Enjoy!

    First off I've got this outfit that I would really love to have! The first layer is a striped, black and dark purple shirt with a grey skirt and leggings. On the top is a yellow-brown raincoat that really pulls the outfit together. (;

    You guys have heard of pencil skirts, right? Well this is a literal Pencil Dress. I was looking
everywhere for inspiration, then I just looked at the colored pencils in my hand and used it for the
dress. (;

   This is my black and white Stripe Dress. This was also a desperate hope for inspiration when I started doodling what turned out to be the upper part of the dress. I like the style and simplicity of this dress. (;

   Thanks for reading! If you liked this post, leave a comment below and tell me what you think! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Until next time, have fun, inspire, and get inspired. (;

Fashion Corner

         So I get back from school, go into my room to find this~

After 10 minutes of thanking, cutting, and tying, it looked like this~

This is now the prettiest and most fashionable corner of my room therefor it is now my own personal Fashion Corner. This is now where I will take all of my fashion photos like the following~

And now I don't have to use a bird-cage as a manikin! Ya, now as you can see that bird-cage is sitting next to the manikin. (;
                                                                                    *
   I encourage you all to form your own fashion, science, history, math, writing, art, cooking, etc corner because you have to have a little area that expresses you the most and what better place than your own room? So go home, pick a corner and get started! Make sure to let me know how it turns out in the comments below. (;

What Inspires Me

          Hi everyone, today I'm going to tell you about a two things that will always mean a lot to me.

Things that have always made me wonder...

 Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. By that I mean the book by Lewis Carroll. I have read Alice in Wonderland about three times. The first was when I was eight and I didn't really understand what was going on, but later when I did, I saw so much life and imagination and endless and unexplainable things that have lead me here today. First of all, the Rabbit in a waist-coat. Come on, How could you not love that? The Cheshire Cat kind of scared me at first but now he's one of my favorite Characters {: The Mad Hatter, for how much fun he had while having a simple cup of tea. Another thing that I really liked was the idea of painting roses red. I've always wanted to try that! And last, but definitely not least, The Jabberwockie. (: There is not a single book or fairytale out there that can knock this off the top of my list.

Next on the list is Peter Pan. I'm really one for classics and trust me, this is a classic. It's always given me this hope that I won't have to grow up and that I can fly. (I haven't given up yet.) The Lost Boys have to be the sweetest little boys in the world! The way they respect and look up to Peter. Peter is right behind them, he's a little forgetful but he always makes up for it. Tinker Bell, oh I just love Tinker Bell! She's pretty rude at first but its only because of how much she cares about Peter. Wendy and her brothers are very brave and adventurous to decide to run away, or should I say, fly away with a boy the only just met. And There are too many people to name! I guess you got the idea. (:

Have a favorite of yours you want to add? Put it in the comments below and let me know what inspires you. (;

October Picture of the Month

    Hey guys! Welcome to Picture of the Month. Where I look for a picture that best suits this month.
Here's this months picture. Hope you enjoy!

This is one of Tim Burton's sketches. He's always had a dark style that I love. I think this says it all. How shadows become darker and scarier when Halloween comes closer, when you start feeling silly over getting scared over your own shadow.

  Have a good idea for November's Picture of the Month? Write the website or some information about the picture you like and I'd be happy to check it out. (=
I'll see you guys soon!(I promise!)

The Creepy Weepy Sleepy Style

     Hey guys! October has started and all the monsters are slowly creeping out of their caves...
But don't be afraid. When I say "slowly" I mean sssssslllllooooooooooooooowwwwwwllllllllyyyyy.
But anyway, I've come up with a creepy, weepy, sleepy style to show you an extremely small portion of what creepy thoughts live inside my messed-up brain.
Here's what I've got so far...

 Until next time...near Hallaween, I will see you again...

Cornelia Funke's Party

     9:30 a.m. Sunday September 16
Hey guys, so right now I'm getting ready to go to Cornelia Funke's yearly party. If you guys don't know who that is, she's a very well-known author, (Ink Heart, The Thief Lord, Reckless, Dragon Rider, Pirate girl, etc.) and every year she has a party at her house. This year I got in because during the summer, I took a creative writing class at the Once Upon a Time bookstore, (my absolute favorite book store) and the owner of the store is friends with Cornelia Funke, and she invited the class to come. We were a small class of seven or eight, but I think only me and three other members are coming. In addition to inviting us to the party, the owner of the store, Maureen, offered to drive
What I'm wearing today is a green dress with ruffles that I got from Anthropologie, I also wore this to picture day, and I just love the style of this dress! I've always liked that antic-like look.
(: I'm really excited, I'll make sure to take lots of pictures for you guys and post them right here,
see you later, bye!

 Going to a party (:

10:45 a.m Saturday September 29

  Oh. My. Goodness.
That must've been the most magical place I've ever been to! The garden was enchanted, there were dragonflies everywhere and the food was just amaizng! Her writing house was my favorite, she had an OGRE ARM on her WRITING DESK. The writing house was seperated from her actual home, plus our group turned out being smaller. There was supposed to be three of us from the writing class, but it turned out just being me, my friend from school, Maureen and her daughter. There was so much art around the house and too, too many things to admire. She had an entire wall dedicated to different characters and pictures!
Here's a few pictures I took around the house (:

                                                    Ogre arm on Cornelia's writing desk

                                                         Characters from Cornelia's wall.

                                                            Bench in Cornelia's garden

                                                        Cornelia talking about her books

Tree with sashes hanging off

                                                     Secret table behind the bushes

                                                         Pathway in Cornelia's garden

            Well, this has been my most picture-filled post yet! Hope you enjoyed! See you next time.

Favorite Styles

   Hey guy's! Today I'm gonna tell you about what my favorite styles areand what I believe is cool to wear

  So one of the things I like these days are dresses that are longer on the back and shorter in the front. These are really nice and fashionable. If you like that kind of look I highly recommend it. (:

Another thing I love to see is, (note: this is for cooler weather.) any dress with muted color, long socks and boots, and maybe a scarf. I really really like muted color, (pretty much just normal colors mixed with gray) I know it seems dark but I just love how it looks (:

 Another style I really like is a dress with a old fashion look with a collar. It's just so sweet and fun, and I must say it is one of my favorite styles. (:

That's all for now, if you liked this post please leave a comment and let me know your favorite styles.
Until next week, enjoy, inspire, and get inspired. (:
